How it started
Built on a Handshake and a Good Day's Work
Louis J. D'Atena started LJD Home Improvements in 1991 with a simple belief: if you do honest work at a fair price, people will trust you. That belief has driven every project we've taken on since.
What began as a one-man operation has grown into a full-service home improvement company — but we've never lost the personal touch that made us who we are. Louis is still hands-on with every project, and our crew has been with us for years.
We work primarily across Suffolk County — Oakdale, Islip, Sayville, Bay Shore, Patchogue, and the surrounding communities. These are our neighbors. We treat their homes the way we'd want ours treated.
